Stretch Shapes’ Shade Structures were extremely popular in the summer of 2017. Our stretch fabric structures made their way into large music festivals, corporate events, marathons and more. For Superfly, the request was to have two equal-sized shade structures that were to be the focus of an exterior gathering point at the Jefferson County Fairgrounds in Denver, Colorado.

Having seen our previous work, Superfly representatives put their faith in Stretch Shapes to come up with an original design that would cover two areas of 100’ x 100’, with the tallest peaks at 20’ high. With an idea and structure size in-hand, Stretch Shapes provided 3D renders of their space with multiple versions of shade structures. While many color schemes were discussed, the team ultimately ended up choosing an all white fabric structure from our renders that we provided. This allowed them to light the fabric at night and provide a fresh look with each passing light.

For the install, two Stretch Shapes representatives arrived in Denver two days prior to the event. The team was able to complete the entire setup in less than two days. For this install, the client was able to supply the truss and truss setup. Stretch Shapes supplied the rigging equipment, custom fabric and installation management.
